What is the show in the Estranged Video? Wich concert is it taken from? I think I recognize the Munich stadium but I'm not sure. and when was the concert? 1992? 1993? it seems pretty big...

It was also the last time Estranged was ever played live by Guns N' Roses.  :(

I had the bootleg and the quality sucked. Not a big fan of GnR as a live band (at least not after 91) so I'm not the one to judge if the concert was cool or not...

They had some good performances in '93.  I am not a fan of 91 and 92 either.

During the video it shows parts of a concert or 2. What were the dates for that (those) show('s) and what is the name of where they were played? I want to maybe get a bootleg of them.

It was recorded at some Germany 1993 show. I recall it was Munich 1993. And yes, there is a bootleg (audio) of that show.

If I remember correctly, parts were shot at the Long Beach Arena.

They rented out the arena to film some concert footage for the video.

Haven't watched the Making Of... in a while.

Yeah, it was Long Beach.

I am still pretty sure that the "live" parts of the Estranged video were filmed at some Germany 1993 show. Never heard that it had anything to do with Long Beach. Anyone else agree with me?

Nope, you're wrong. Matt says in the Making Of... that they rented the entire Long Beach Arena and set up the stage to film close ups.

It even says Long Beach, California on the screen.

Yes, Munich '93 and Long Beach Area [No Gig] only re-film a live version of Estranged with the original stage.

I seem to remember Munich was used and then they rented Long Beach because they could get closeups which you can't really get in a live setting.

why oh why wasnt this released as a DVD. Bout 1000 times better than the Tokyo Illusion DVDs. The Concert looked absolutly amazing!

That concert does look pretty amazing - i assume its floating around the net in some form?

They filmed the closeup shots at long beach arena which the band rented out specifically, set up the whole staging and performed a bunch of times

On audio yeah I believe.. as far as I know Izzy, no video bootleg exists.
