Here Today... Gone To Hell!

I'm from Brazil and I'm going to travel to Los Angeles next month. I'd like to visit the church of the November Rain Video, but I don't even know the name of that church!  :'(

Is it in Los Angeles? I've search all the web to find this information, but I haven't found it!

Could you help me, please? ;)

I don't think it's a real church.... More like a movie set or something.

i thought they moved a real church into the desert, or did they just build it there? The info is in the making of the vids

As far as I can remember from the making of video, the church was on wheels or something and they just moved it in the middle of the desert. That's the small church Slash is playing on front of. If you are talking about the church they film the wedding/funeral in, it certainly looks like a real church. I can't see it being a set, and I have no idea where it is located.

The church was constructed for the video.

The desert was in new mexico.

The church for the Wedding/funeral is real i'm almost positive on that.

But the one where Slash plays infront of it in the desert was a church on wheels that had been used in a famous movie

No the church was made for the movie Silverado. GN'R just used it. As for the user's question of course he means the 'wedding' church not the one where Slash plays his solo...

All that way just to see the church? Why not see VR in concert or see some good band live in concert in LA

No he didn't come to L.A just to see the November Rain church. He was already coming to L.A but decided he wanted to make a pit stop at the church. It's rather simple.

I thought he meant the church with the solo..sorry.

I find the Making of this video a little hard to watch.  You can see it's doing everybodys head in - all that attention to detail.  Don't get me wrong makes a fab video, but it seems like Axl's trip and you can see everybody's a bit bored.  Thats what i got from watching it anyway.

and as far as the Makin' of videos - I love these...
yes, a lot of it is focused on Axl - as he was the star and it was based on his visions/concept...  Not to discunt Del James at all because of the inspiration provided by "Without You"... but, lets remember who was the inspiration for "Without You" ;)

Axl actually had a lot of hands on (especially in Don't Cry).. which I wish he had been able to retain throughout Estranged because when he talks about it going way over the top in some scenes you know exactly what he is talking about.

Andy Morahan's idea/vision as he explained it was that since it was Guns N' Roses that people should expect something larger than life (something like that)...  but, the whole scene where the swat team raiding Axl's house was (in my opinion) not a good fit for the video.

Yeah yeah I know, the trilogy videos - a different topic that we've discussed before.   ;D

I always knew that the church's weren't the same. One minute it shows Slash walking out of this huge church filled with tons of people and Slash walks out and it's this tiny, small church and I'm like, "What!?!"

Me too.I thinkthe church the wedding was in is verry real but the solo church is so obviously fake.
