To play guitar for Gnr (I mean , to replace Bucket)
Mi 1st choice would totally be PAUL GILBERT.

I'm still unclear on why Buckethead needs to be replaced. On the new songs that I have seen there is no need for three guitar parts. For Example Chinese Democracy is really two guitar parts with one being played twice, sure this adds layers, but that is almost unrecognizable live. As far as the solo's, Robin or Richard are more than capable of picking up his parts. The songs we have seen so far do not include any bucket solos that your average kid with a few years of lessons couldn't play. Plus how many abums are recorded with multiple guitar tracks that are handled live by two guitar players?? try almost every.......of course alot of acts tend to have the "Powerful OZ" behind the curtain filling in random rythym parts.

I would like to see Gilby playing guitar. That would be a VERY wise move.

I love Cantrell, not with Axl though.  

I prefer him hangin' with Billy Duffy in Cardboard Vampyres, be seeing them twice in the coming months as well..

I guess that's why slash had to play most of izzy's parts on the UYI records.Doesn't sound like izzy's priority is the music not his first priority anyway

er....he wasn't around because he was sick of the band - and sick of the band because the music was no longer the priority.

I wouldn?t like Izzy to go in there unless he goes with Steven Slash and Duff.Meanwhile I think the 2 guitarist thing will work, not like the original members, but they will work well as a back up band.

That's my point!If Izzy was sick of the band back in '91, what makes you think he wouldn't become sick of it now?His main problem was with Axl and I don't think that's going to change aytime soon.Izzy was a great writer no doubt.My main point is that izzy wouldn't work in the new band because he couldn't handle being in the spotlight,I think it would be too much pressure for him to handle.

Actually, they could always program BHs guitar parts from the album into Pittmans keyboard and they would not have to replace him live.

Unfortunately Daves idea is probably not far off from what will happen if they ever play live again. Although if they start digitally recreating guitar sounds on stage they might as well get the background dancers and just call this a disco pop band. Then they could hand a guitar to Justin Timberlake and he could pretend to play on stage.

I'm gonna have to go with this guy.. looks like he's got some mean hands ;)

That would rock, not only a superb guitarist/songwriter but also somebody who may be able to keep Axl on track (if such a thing exists) and would bring Axl some credability from the media having another founding GnR member along side him.

Does any one else think that Axl looked like a tool playing the guitar at RIO. I hope for his sake these rumors of him learning guitar are false. He looked ridiculous doing the 'Snake Dance' or whatever you call it with a PRS in his hands.

*On an unrelated note:
What is up with PRS listing Axl as a sponsord player? don't you usually have to be a guitar player do get that treatment. Allthough PRS does this with the smallest local bands, they love giving awy free guitars in the hopes that maybe some teenager will ahve his parents buy him one of there insanely overpriced guitars.
