Just wondering why this board has moderators who are mainly absent barring the odd exception, shouldn't mods be here more frequently to keep control, just seems like Jarmo's one man army mainly

I suppose your right - there are mods that i haven't seen in months, especially in the GNR section

Just because we don't post in some of the sections doesn't mean we don't read them. I, personally don't find it interesting anymore to comment who is cooler, Slash or BHead, who's got worse taste in clothing, Finck or some one else. It's slow at the GN'R world and I really don't care about all the bullshit topics that are out there. This still doesn't mean I don't read them.

I visit the board every day, and read every section daily. I really don't see how this should even concern you all that much... The board is pretty clean as far as I can tell, and if some of you are unhappy with our actions or posts made by posters, please do use the "report to a moderator" function or what's its name..

Didn't mean to rant, but that's what it might've sounded like. Anywho, that wasn't the intention.

Thanx for the response this post was directed though more at the mods that seem totally dorment e.g. havent' posted in months at least just wondering where they were i mean i know you are around as is Chris Misfit and Used Illusions but some of the others hell they could of been dead for months for all we know

I apologize, I was on vacation from June 3rd to June 7th. I still check the board every day though.

They're here, they just want you think that they're not.

Anyway, I haven't read the main GnR section for ages now. I've looked at a couple of threads but never really read it. It's the same discussions that have been for the 3-4 years I've posted here, and as Skeba said, it's boring.

Hence, anyone worth talking to can be found in the Jungle....

Wasn't too long ago, the most interesting thread there was "What did you have for breakfast?"

Funny, as it's the same people who posted in that, that also post in the Either Or game, which is the finest excuse for post count boosting ever.

I complain not though, it sure beats reading Xtreme rant on about the secret fighting championship in japan he won $200,000 on, by beating 90 men in two days.

I post in the either or game cos its a bit of light hearted fun while im sitting in my boring boring office all day.

I dont really think people care that much about their post count that they just post for that purpose.. surely?  :confused:

Obvioulsy not everyone does it to boost their post count, but there are people who care. There was a thread here not too long ago from some guy who had two accounts here, and wanted to add the post counts together.

I don't know about that E/O thread. How many pages is it now, 300? Last time I looked, ages ago, A post was shit OR piss ::)

And a lot of people do care about post counts. I'm sure there are those who have 500 posts in that thread alone...

i participate in every section on the board simply because i have no friggin life, while im chattin at night or listening to music it gives me something to do while waiting on people to respond to more meaningful threads on the board like

Post count don't really matter unless you find out important Chinese Democracy info and you happen to tell the board in your first ever post

Yeah and everyone single one was bullshitting and shot down but you never know one of these days one of them will be telling the truth and nobody will believe them

I know that feeling - i have less than three hours a week of lectures at uni - and live with 4 medic's - they have 39 hours a week - so during the day its me....in the house.....alone :crying:

As the sole moderator of the HTGTH chatroom, i've gotta say that things have been running more smoothly than i expected at first :)

Yeah...exactly who is he talking about?  Sometimes I lurk...don't even log in but I'm checking out the board and will log in if I need to.   :P

If you like it or not, i'm still here too. Maybe not posting as much as i used to do, but even mods have a life sometimes ;)
