Here Today... Gone To Hell!

Ok. I've tried english. I've even put the rules in bold. I've even sent some of you PMs. But people are still having problems understanding the rules of the Songs You Recommend Thread.

I know I've mean to some of you in the past, but I really never considered you to be that dumb (maybe Arron).

So what I want, is a simple explanation, to why the rules are so hard to understand. Is it the way I've worded it? Could I make them more clearer?

How come someone who's first language is not english can understand, and so many who speak the language as their first seem to have looked at the thread, the did the opposite of what it said?

Despite what people may think i believe everyone would understand the rules if they took the time to read them but i have the same problem for my 80s band thread people make incorrect posts cos they just read the title of the thread and assume e.g. songs you recommend.......oooooo..........Guns N' Roses :yes: - Sweet Child O' Mine, they never take the time it's like it's a case of how can i get more posts or something

I think there's just a basic lack of intelligence among some of the posters.

It's still going on. I've deleted one post twice from the same person this morning. I think overall about 15 different users have posted wrongly, with most doing it more than once.

I don't think they actually look at the thread long enough to see anything. It's like "post count = yay!"

no its not necessarily post count

i can see not putting a big hit thats all over the place

but if there is some obscure great song even by an established band that needs to be heard i see nothin wrong with that at all

alot of famous bands arent represented properly by their singles that everyone knows

so if there is some rare amazing Bon Jovi bside that no one has ever heard, that should qualify

i understood the rules perfectly. they're right there i dont see why they could be hard for people to follow.

i think maybe the title may be the problem. cuz idiots would look at the title and just go straight to the second page without even reading what the thread is about and put something like

blink 182 - down , dude i love this song its so good........i recommed it to all of u.......they're the greatest.......blink rule.......wooooo.woooooooooooooooo  ::)

yeah nobody has posted that i was just trying to think of a stupid example.

the rules work fine because i haven't posted there. i couldn't think of any bands that don't have a major record deal that i would recommend to people. hmmm sorry i'm not that informed about the music scene.

i dunno i suggest altering the title of the thread to add "READ RULES FIRST" or something. if that doesn't work........well people are just idiots then. :hihi:

The title wasn't my fault though. Some guy posted it. Notice he hasn't been back in the thread though, since you actually have to download songs, and not just post?
