Just Made in Korea and a long number then is a good gear to begin :)Title: Re:our guitars pictures :) Post by: Eduardo on June 20, 2004, 02:27:29 PM then is a good gear to begin :) Well, Im not a begginer, and even if this guitar is not "the good epiphone", I?m preety satisfied with it. It has a good sustain, its comfortable to play in, and the tone is great. And its fuckin beautiful! I?ll post a picture of it as soon as my dad brings his Digital Cam home Title: Re:our guitars pictures :) Post by: Skeba on June 21, 2004, 05:30:11 PM At first I thought that this thread wasn't too good of an idea because it really easily goes into a "look what I've got, and wait 'till you see all my cars" type of thing.
Well, anyways. I did this today, and it came out ok, so I thought I'd share. I don't know how long it'll be online, but enjoy it while it lasts. It's a standard Epiphone Les Paul, with little less standard pickups... Blah, I'm kidding. They're standard too. I just wanted it to sound good. link removed Maybe if I get a shitload of money some day I might go for the overpriced Gibson thing. For now, this'll do pretty well with my PODxt and a piece of USB cable. Title: Re:our guitars pictures :) Post by: Darkburst on June 21, 2004, 07:28:01 PM They're both 2003 R9s with Brazilian boards. I put the pickup covers back on the faded tobacco burst when I dropped the ALNICO II Pros in.

I just wanted it to sound good. http://www.students.tut.fi/~kemppi/Skittaivas.jpg (http://www.students.tut.fi/~kemppi/Skittaivas.jpg) Here's mine - an Aria Pro II Les Paul with original pickups: (http://www.tramavirtual.com.br/foto/11733.jpg) I have a Yamaha Strato with two humbuckers and one single coil, but I don't have any idea what is the model. I know is not that good but I don't have that much money to buy a Gibson, as much as I want. :'( Title: Re:our guitars pictures :) Post by: Pviljoen on June 21, 2004, 08:20:01 PM The Gibson pup covers fit over the Duncans? I was always told they don't fit.. as Seymours are a little wider

I was always told they don't fit.. as Seymours are a little wider Nah, I use DMC PAF replica covers. They have the original PAF shape and make up. I figured if I have an R9 I may as well get more historically accurate parts. Title: Re:our guitars pictures :) Post by: Darkburst on June 22, 2004, 09:08:32 AM Quote dunno just use duncans on classic one and fit good.. but not on deluxe but that was ovbious cause deluxe had minihumbuckers... Yeah there are plenty of good covers. I just chose the DMCs because they're made of the same materials as the original PAF covers from the 50's and have the correct shape for that area. As I said, the reissues are fairly close to the original 50s LPs so if I find parts that are more accurate I usually buy them.
