Title: Communicating with the telephone - myth!!!! Post by: Dont Try Me on June 09, 2004, 05:55:50 AM I've read these comical comments people made on Guns N' Roses bandmembers communicating (only) through telephone and how it is a bad thing. The rediculous conclusion some of the people draw as in...then it isn't a real band.
I guess some of you find it weird that someone as in a bandmember says: "Hey when you call me, I'll be there". Now the thing with that is many people overlook certain aspects. Have you ever thought of the possibility that Axl, Dizzy, Brain, Mr. Finck, etc all have built up an own life besides Guns N' Roses. (Altough yes Gn'r is very very important.) Axl does his own thing but so does Robin Finck and all the other bandmembers. They don't live under one roof you see. They aren't a bunch of kids anymore who hang together 24/7 in a bar. They are past that stage. It is not possible to live that way again (even with a new band) because it would be destructive. They don't need to be around eachother all day. It would eat them alive I'm sure. It's good to keep some distance every now and while. Same goes with every relationship. It does not work to be around every single second. You have your own things but so has someone else. Some things need to be done alone. The "I'll phone you up" thing has absolutely nothing to do with being a real band or not. It's not a myth like the 3 albums, read the interviews.
