Aunt Ger already post a pic of her showing her given to dizzy some fans letters (  don?t remember exactly ), and she did that couse she wanted, showing his love and support to the fans... so, why can?t we talk to Axl?s Manager ( maybe MYSTERON could organize that, saying to him that this thing will be organized and not just a buch of axl?s lovers try to get the release date from his mouth!) and AXL?S MANAGER KNOWING that this thing will be organined ... why he will not give axl a call and talk for 10 minutes about it?!

and then we will get some REAL things, like:

"can you tell us some song?s name and talk about? ( the lyrics, etc... )

I KNOW THAT THESE ISN?T THE BEST QUESTIONS, BUT WE CAN ELABORATE A FEW QUESTIONS...  and send to him thru Axl?s manager... he answer and mysteron post in here

It may seem a crazy utopia at first ( assuming he may never read/ talk to any of us) but I've seen far more stupid non sense threads. As fans, we would like some answers, why don't get them from the man himself?

I didn't mean Axl checking emails, but doing some interview like that pre-2002 asian-europe tour. He did talk a lot a let us know how Fortus joined the band and stuff like that.

I think it's an interesting idea, but i don't think asking him about the album is suitable yet. He always said he'd give us news when he would have some to give, therefore, you wouldn't get more just because you ask him yourself, therefore, why even asking ?

How about asking him about his pets or if he ever tried Bungy Jumping or does he like to sail or has he even tried it, or how is his cooking coming along ( remember that article when beta was back home in brazil and axl called her up to 6 times in an hour to make sure he cooked things right ? lol)

That's the sort of stuff  i'd like to know about the man..The rest is asked all the time..It's boring, for us and for him...

Does he do gardening ? Or what charities would he work for ? Has he ever thought of working for the Unicef ? Stuff like that..

I guess it's quite safe to ask something like his guitar lessons or techincal stuff like how the mix will be like and if he's gonna put some vocal effects like in OMG.
I'm sure he's proud enough to answer stuff like that because he's trying to put out something that is really fresh, with details and really good production (not overproducing).
But hey, what's the point if we don't ask something like "hey, who is your new guitar player?". He can tell us if he already have one or not, it's not like the CD release date.  :beer:

Why should your fans be excited about the new band and music that is going to be released? (OK a little aggressive but nonetheless a worthwile question)

What type of style are you trying to create with the new band and music? What influences have you drawn from and how diffiuclt is it to be original and creative?

When touring, which countries do you prefer to play and why? If you had to live outside the States, where would you choose?

I would like to ask him some questions too, of course he doesn't want to read anything about the CD...hmm..

- What was your favorite musical experience in the past ten years (pick a concert you did or went to, an album you bought and were thrilled to listen to, etc.) -- you can pick more than one if picking just one is too difficult

- On the 2002 Euro/ Asia tour, did you have time to visit the places you've gone to and what were your impressions of Japan, Hong Kong, Belgium, etc.? Have they changed a lot in ten years? Did you enjoy your coca cola without ice cubes in Europe? ;D

- What's the thing you enjoy the most doing during the day?

I'm not trying to start an argument or be an ass, but why is CD or seemingly anything GNR related off limits? Don't take this the wrong way, but I've never seen someone so scared to talk about something they have been working for so long. I would like to think he is excited and proud of what he has recorded and wants to share it with everyone. I can kinda see him not wanting to talk about Buckethead and fully understand not talking about ex-members (Duff & Slash lawsuit). Being so secretive about CD, while it's nothing new or shocking at this point, does not add up.

Either way, this is still a cool idea and mysteron should have the final say of all questions. He would know better than any of us what would more likely get answered.

What about questions relating to the new songs which have already been perfromed on the 2002 tour. Would that fall into the questions about CD being as they are already 'out there'?

Why would you ask about CD, Bucket etc. when Axl has for the moment said what he wanted on that matter (the press release)? If we got a reply, and he mentioned anything about it, it would probably be all over the press, or at least Axl would expect it to be. He would use his regular channels if he wanted to announce any news.

As I see it, the best result that could come out of this would be if Axl replied on some more personal, "off-topic" questions. That would drastically change his reputation about not giving a crap about his fans, wouldn't it?

3. The Blues is an amazing song! Why at first it had a quick tempo and then a slower version? Are we going to listen to both of them on the upcoming albuns?

Considering that the Rolling Stone February 2000 Interview described you as anxious to have your say, but waiting until the new album is released and can "speak fo itself" -  Do you find yourself more anxious than ever - or do you find that the passage of time has actually tempered any such anxiety?  Have you in fact found it necessary to squelch/suppress any sence of urgency in order for your energy to be properly channeled?  We fans perceive that you must be under an incredible amount of pressure.  How have you found it best to deal with external pressure?   And what about internal pressure?


Composer, Marco Beltrami reported working on some orchestral arrangments for the new GN'R material.
During the recording of November Rain, one may recall your seeming to express a desire to record with an orchestra - noting however that it was at that time not a feasible option.   Have you have now been able to realize this desire and if so what can you share with us about that experience?

Speaking of Marco Beltrami  - Everytime a new blockbuster moive is announced - the first new GN'R single is rumoured to be on the soundtrack.  As far as you can say right now - what are the chances that we'll be working on a Twizzler the next time we hear a new GN'R track?

- We heard songs on the new album will have different styles/ influences. What kind of song do you prefer to play? A rocker like Chinese Democracy or a mid-tempo song like Madagascar?

- Will the new album include any cover of songs by other artists (like Live And Let Die and Knockin... on Use Your Illusion)? If you don't want to disclose any song title/ artist, what kind of song would it be?

- You have played from clubs to open-air festival venues in 2001/2002, what kind of crowd do you enjoy the most?

1. How would you feel about doing this  'answer 10 questions from the fans' about once a month. Its and excellent way of keeping eveyone updated before the album comes out? Maybe even get different band members to answer questions and some of the people involved in making the album.

Yet again if this works its going to be amazing, could bring about a huge change to this board.

Having read through everyone's posts - I'd  add the following to my suggestions which I already posted.....

What hobbies do you enjoy?  Do you collect any art or memorabilia?  Any culinary pursuits?  What type of reading material do you enjoy? Do you travel recreationaly?  Can you tell us about your favorite destinations?
What is your perception of the internet fan base? Despite the 'garbage' do the efforts of your loyal fans to show love and support reach you?
Several GN'R bandmates are pursing solo efforts? What are your feelings regarding these and involvement if any?
What can we look forward to as far as DVD and music video releases?
Musical interests?  Concerts attended? CD's purchased?  Fav vocal artists?  What releases are you looking forward to?

I feel that these are already incorporated in asking him his thoughts/feelings regarding: 2001-2002 shows/tour:
- Larger venues vs. Smaller venues.  Fav show? Fav crowd? Fav venue? Fav memories of tour?  Etc.

And I feel that these are alreadty incorporated in asking for comments on the Upcoming CD and Tour plans:
- Any covers?  Duets?  Types of venues planned for tour?  Will CD have parental advisory sticker? Is it a double album? Is the title still CD? Why styles can be expected?  Etc.

I really liked these suggestions, though they may be covered under the general idea of having him comment as he is comfortable with on the CD...  but if it is opted not to refer to CD directly - then these are great specific questions to ask:
- What is your songwriting process? What type of style are you trying to create with the new band and music? What influences have you drawn from and how diffiuclt is it to be original and creative?  
Further I'd add one that takes the guitar lessons question a step further (if we could):
- Do you play guitar or any other insttuments on the upcoming CD?  
And I really liked this questions also:
- Might the Piano intro you played on the 2002 Tour be part of an entire new song/arrangement?
- Have you ever considered making a "piano album" with jazz, blues etc?

I have this feeling that Axl as the Artist would love to answer these questions, but won't because some one will leek them or find them and the next thing you know there will be a flash on much music T.o or In Touch magazine or some rag mag,  I can see it now (like this is news for the world) "AXL ROSE THINKS ARNOLD SHOULD RUN FOR PREZ!!!" or something stupid like that. I think he is trashed for everything he says or does! The media is not very kind.
So although I hope like hell he does answer these questions because we are all the biggest fans on the planet and the least likely people in the world to be critical or unappreciative for his time to answer, I think he might feel that a free for al in the media may develop.  Every question might be a reason to talk about Axl again. A good thing for someone else who wants publicity but Idon't think he does, because they are so hard on him.

Funny how someone like Scott W. can write on his web-site and we see it and feel a connection and informed, but if Axl did that it would be the news topic on Music television for a day or two about how the "recluse came out for a fan interview via the internet"

- This last tour, you seemed much happier on stage.  Is every performance still a battle, as you have said in the past that it used to be?  Or are you in a different place now when you are on stage?

- Are there any love interests in your life?

- Tell us about your reason for the title "Chinese Democracy"

- How do you feel about your touring career?  Are you ready to do it again for many years?  Or do you see yourself settling down in the next 5-10 years?

- Would you ever consider doing a side project after the life of GNR (if it ever ends)?  By side project I mean a band under a different name.

- Has there been any resolution between you and Izzy?  Rumors have floated that the rift is closing.

Yeah, I think they are great questions too.  The one question we all want to ask isn't there, but it'd never be answered anyway - they're still interesting questions that are of the sort we might actually get an answer to.  I would be interested to hear the answer to all of them and, in particular, what kind of music Axl listens to these days.

I agree.  I think the chances of him answering these questions are slim to none...that's even assuming he sees these questions which is also not likely.

If he cared even a smidgeon about his fans he'd take the 10 minutes out of his life to answer these for us.  I mean these are some of the most benign questions we could ask the man.  But my guess is that he doesn't care too much about the opinion of us die-hard fans and won't bother to answer them.

There was a post at another forum that said GNR's management was considering setting up an interview with Axl that would be posted on the GNR forums.

So, I called Sanctuary today to verify it, and here's what I was told.

They said Merck (Axl's manager) is "aware" of the GNR forums and their wish to see Axl do an interview. However, his assistant told me that if he agrees to do it, they'd likely do it "internally" rather than have someone do a Q&A (question and answer) in person or by phone. (I had been hoping that he'd agree to do a live interview since I live in NYC and he's here frequently and I promised to post it at all of the major GNR forums).

I guess they're cautious and want to screen the questions that are asked so that the interview doesn't backfire, which is understandable. So, if he agrees, it will likely be fixed questions and fixed answers arranged by people at Sanctuary.

The good news is -- at least they're considering it, which means we could get a statement from Axl in the next few weeks.

Basically, the questions you guys have set have been emailed to Merck, who will check them, then forward them to Axl.....who will then hopefully answer the questions, send them back to Merck, who will then forward them back to us.

we're still on square one bout chinese democracy.....the ever elusive album

Does anyone really think he's going to give us good answers to why we have no album. We'll get the same old song and dance about having to rebuild this and that, or that certain members didn't care enough(bucket) and that the album will be coming soon, and that it will be great and he will tour forever. Same ole same ole, there will be no accepting of responsibility that ultimately it is his fault we have no album, and still no response about why the tour was cut off. I think its great he might answer some questions, but what difference does it make when he screens the questions and only gives answers the way he wants. This is nothin more than a pro-axl piece of propaganda, not real answers to the questions we need answers for.

While it's frusterating that we may not get any response, and if we do it probably won't talk about CD..I still see it as a glass half-full thing...If a bunch of internet fans can get Axl to talk AT ALL, it would be quite a feat, given he speaks to nobody in the "mainstream" media.

to be honest i think this is a really good idea and it could build momentum if axl does reply to some questions.
we have been supporting a band which doesnt say a word for so long now and don't get me wrong as much as you'd like to get more info it adds to the whole gnr saga coz ya never know what is gonna happen next eg no news and all of a sudden there were european dates released a month and a half before the 2002 tour

but the main thing here is that its a step in the right direction,i was delighted eventho it was bad news bout bucket and the rio cancellation but was happy that axl made the effort to communicate with us.

i know alot of you guys are probably wearing thin on patience and no matter what the outcome of the 10 questions will throw abuse but i think it could be the start of little tit bits ie small updates from axl like most other bands do on their websites which would be great. :peace:

I would like to know what inspired Axl to do the whole speech in Madagascar, cause its really brilliant. Also, I would like to know how long it took to put together all those different pieces of the speech. I think it would be really interesting to know.

The fact that management has even considered Mysterons request is a pretty good sign that something will happen. Even if Axl doesnt want to do it, management will talk him around. His management company isnt stupid, they are paid to do a job and part of that job involves keeping Axls name and the bands name out there, otherwise there isnt going to be much of a fan base left when the album eventually gets released.

He will reply and hopefully when a trustworthy relationship has been built up between the boards and the band/management, many more questions can be asked (album release date!!!!!!!!).

This could really change things!!

It's weird how all this stuff reminds me, i mean, thinking about it now, it reminds me of a movie i watched for the first time a few days ago. Oh, and i saw it again last night. (Couldn't sleep: woke up too early so i watched the movie until dawn.)

Ok, call me naive, but I don't think Axl, despite his flaws, has ever deliberately (in his own mind) screwed his fans over. Cancelled gigs and so on, have always been justified in his mind, if it was his decision, and so have the constant CD delays. Axl and Guns have a reputation for not caring about their fans, and here's a great chance for Axl to prove that this is not the case. I for one will be extremely disappointed if he lets us down.

I think that's a great question.  If I recall correctly, it's a topic that Axl Rose addressed to an extent in his 1999 intereview with Kurt Loder.  I'd like to hear what he says about it now.  I think it's a reasonable question that isn't too invasive.

I think the reason Axl didnt answer the questions is b/c this person on a message board named Madison found out about how we were gonna do this and she got all pissed off b/c it wasnt her idea. So, being a dumbass, she kept pestering GN'R managment to let her do a face-to-face interview, or over the phone interview, with Axl. And she kept bugging managment about it, so eventually managment got tired of it, and they decided to forget the whole thing and not even have Axl answer the 10 questions. That is the story I heard. So, I dont think Axl just ignored answering these questions.

I think she is a mod over at mygnr. She seems to be the "mysteron" of that board from what I have seen. It seems like she has a way of getting in touch with gnr management or someone else close. I doubt that's why Axl has not answered the questions.

Also, you claim Axl never got the questions. Mysteron said they were given to Axl, so your story may be false just based on that. But, as with anything GNR, who the fuck knows.  ::)

What has respect got to do with him answering some questions?? Nothing, when he is 100% ready and releases cd you and others will get all the explanation you want. Maybe not directly an interview, but let the music do the talking. It is rediculous to say that he "must" answer our questions coz we "choose" to be his fans and support him. Those are two different things. You have to understand that it has nothing to do with respectability of one eachother. Axl surely knows there are fans out there. But take into account that Axl is not a regular type of person who answers whatever we ask him, or what you would like (as a fan) him to do. He's not a Christina Aguilera or whatever for that part who does whatever other people enforce them to do. He is not a marjonette and you (not directly you but fans in casual) are not holding the strings. Be happy he does it on his own terms and his own timetable. That makes Axl who he is. You either except his personal sentiment, or you don't.

Besides all this, he already gave a fucking explanation three or two months ago where he described the then "current" situation. Please read that again and you'll see that it is useless to announce something when he and his band are not 100% ready. He is working on it and he doesn't work on it to keep it all burried. Axl will talk to us when the time is right, like he's always said.  When the album is done in his eyes which is probably never it'll be time once again for everything to erupt.  Hopefully a New Years show is in the works.

i think it's a good idea,and axl prolly isn't hard to find.but is axl really willing to say.i mean he has everyone waiting for a mystery cd to come out.if he tells when it's coming out no more mystery then right.i think he still has things to be done arrangements for tours release dates to keep him busy now.so an interview could be right on time still.who knows give it a great big try ,thats all anyone can do at this piont.

Droogies and She-Wolves!

So this week I have seen four movies in the theaters. A first for me, but worth it just the same. Here goes my ratings:

Wallace and Gromit: The revenge of the Were-Rabbit - this was a good one for the kids and I enjoyed it, as I have seen every episode in this storyline.

Dreamer - Tired storyline, and Dakota is in too many movies. I kept thinking burn out the whole time, but I did like the bad guy and the horse was kewl too.

The Legend of Zorro - great swordsmanship and pretty good fight scenes, if you are a chicken for violence, and you like seeing a guy spank another guy with a swordblade. KZJ is still fierce, but I can't wait to see this team say, "adios." More killing and less kissing, I say!!!

Jarhead - this one I liked. I went with Justis for a father and son night and we were hooting and hoolering everytime a tank or weapon showed up in the film. I think we also liked it because we respect fierce discipline and know a lot of Marines. Semper Fi!

My family is too young or not into this next one. I am going to sneak off and see Saw II because I saw a private screening of the first one when I had a chance to be on the first soundtrack but Sanctuary balked and the opportunity went to someone else. That's using yer noggin'.

Don't worry, this won't become a habit. I just wanted to share my week with you on a non-Megadeth side for a change.
