Title: MY KANSAS CITY REVIEW!!!!
Post by: da_illest_in_402 on May 15, 2004, 07:19:33 PM
Okay........i'm not gonna right an entire essay. I got there early enough to see the tour bus arrive. Slash was the first person to walk out of the bus. I did meet and greet Duff, Matt, and Dave. But we waited in line for like 2 hours to get in. I got up front right in front of Duff's microphone. Silvertide performed and it was alright. About 9, that's when VR hit the stage. They performed alot of songs including SMF, Slither, Mr. B, Use to, SEx type, It's so,......but they did not play You've got no Right. Slash dedicated Used to, to all of the ladies. At the first song, the crowd was pretty mellow. But Scott got on the Mic......and said "I heard that K.C. did not know how to Rock N Roll.......I heard K.C. was all about Country Music, it's time to shift the power back to the youth!!!" Than that's when it got crazy............I was getting smashed........the 11 year old dude next to me with his mom was getting smashed. Crowd surfing...........IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!

I had a  conversation with the band's photographer. He was a pretty cool guy.  I offered him 100.00 for an advanced copy of Contraband but he said that he didn't have it and NOBODY has it. He also said that the WHOLE band works out everyday and are very clean these days. Slash drinks occasionally. We also talked about Camp Freddy and future VR plans. And we also had a "nice" conversation about Axhole with nothing but nice things to say.  Something interesting he said was that Scott does not hang around the band that much though. Hmmmm...

But over all the show was kick ass!!!!!!! And it was a classic!!!!

My friend right next to me got a pick from Duff and Dave. I got one from Dave.

I WAS BLESSED because Slash played one of my favorite solos It's So Easy......within inches from me. To see him play in front of your face is breath taking. On TV you see his eyes clothes and the sweat just dripping from his hair and he's just putting all of his mind and soul in to the guitar. Well seeing it in person, not only did he have sweat falling..........but he was DROOLING  with a 12 inch string of slobber hanging down from his mouth. The shit was funny.

I'll add more if I can think of it later.

PEACE!!!!!

Title: How was Duff?

Everyone already knows Slash is God. Slash is also Rock's Savior, and Also considered Batman... but how is the Boy wonder Duff? I have always had a special place for that man's music? Does he give a good stage show?

Somebody took their kid with them?   Maybe she couldnt find a babysitter for the night, or maybe she wanted to introduce to great rock.  It's still funny  :D
