News from the LA Times indicate that he is currently working with Slash, R Kelly, and Michael Jackson.  They are collaborating on songs to raise money for Jackson and Kelly's defense fund.  Ironically, it is a children's album....

I am surprised about how Axl is OK with this given how he has openly ripped Slash for playing with the likes of Michael Jackson, Blackstreet and others saying that basically it was an embarrassment to him and his status as a rock icon. You would think he would also want to protect Fortus's integrity like that. At worst we already know how Axl's rant will go if/when Fortus leaves/gets fired from GNR.

But Slash was the most famous guitar player in the world at one time... and he played with Michael Jackson, which is beneath him.

Nobody has ever heard of Richard but he's such a great player that he can play anything with anyone.

Give Into Me (one of the MJ song Slash played on) is an awesome song! And N'Sync has some good pop songs. I like the upbeat ones like I Want You Back and It's Gonna Be Me, but I can't stand them when they try to do ballads.

Why is it surprising. Actually its quite simple.

Slash was the biggest guitarist in the world. WHy should he whore himself liek that.
