Here Today... Gone To Hell!

My friend just called my cell and told me another friend of our's was at a club last night and he saw Axl Rose there. Of course, I didn't believe him, but when he described the scene, it kinda made sense.

Axl was with 5 bodyguards, 3 girls, and what our friend described as looking like a family. He said there was an older woman and what seemed like younger kids there with them, and that they all kinda had their own section of the club to themselves, that the bodyguards kept blocking people from getting to Axl.

A bouncer told my friend that Axl had spent anywhere between 10 grand and 16 grand already at the club.

Our friend said it was 1000000% Axl, and that he was wearing a hockey jersey and had what seemed like blonde or very light hair, and he looked alittle different, like he had a face lift or botox or something.

I actually don't doubt that it was Axl, I just wonder what he's doing here in NYC.... maybe they are in post-production of CD!!!

No kidding? That's a new one! So he was that close to him (through the bodyguards I guess) that he could see the wrinkles on Axl's face? People always look different in a night club anyway...

I went to Malibu for a beach cleanup, and I spotted Axl there.  My friend shouted at him:  Get behind VR!   He got mad and told me to shut the bitch up.

Man, that story is easily believable enough. Big stars go to high price clubs all the time..

I go to some of the really up market clubs here in Montreal and celebrities go there ALL the time.  God, why jump down this kid's throat? It wasn't like he was trying to start a rumor about Axl or something about the album... he just said his friend saw him.


A lot of you are such fucking nerds when it comes to disecting everything about this band. A BAND. Lord, every time someone comes up with an idea or said they saw something you guys get all fucking CSI on their asses and disect the post like it's a fucking crime scene.

Just askin would it have been a famous club? Cos if it was maybe it would have been in the papers. I'm not from new york or america but in australia if a famous person who is rarely seen out in public is at a famous club, it's usualy in the papers the next day

Point blank I saw Axl the other day at my college's rugby game.  He was wearing a Rugby jersey and was surrounded by a bunch of guys in white suits and cattle prods.  Axl had already spent 30 bucks on concessions such as hot dogs, soda and cotton candy.  He mustva been working on mixing CD at our schools AV room.  CHINESE DEMOCRACY BEGINS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Axl is a known multimillionaire. When they know you have cash, you could probably go to a club with crotchless pants. Trust me, I've seen people come to the top end clubs here and they werent dressed well at all, but they were spending like 5 to 20 grand that night, so the naturally the club owner doesn't care.

I dont understand some people here. Axl Rose can go anywhere he wants without it meaning anything. Axl can go to Argentina tommorow, NYC the next and Japan the other. And so what?? the strangest part of your post is that your friend claims axl went to a club with younger kids? i doubt he had children around him if he was going to a club, unless you mean younger kids as in teenagers, but that just would make axl look pathetic, kind of like my dad tagging along to party with me and my friends.

I don't understand why people post stories like this on this forum when the only thing they get is shit. This story can be true! Why is it so unlikely that this happened? Do people need a picture with Axl standing in front of the club to believe it? Or no, of course that would've been edited! Why is it such a fucking big deal?

I wonder where the moderators are in this. A moderators job isn't only to delete whatever shouldn't be on this board. It's not about moving topics around. It's about trying to get discussions back on track whenever they are not going right! Cos it's impossible to have discussions with this crap going on.

The reason I'm writing this is that I feel that this negativity prevent the forum from getting information. I personally wont do it. I sit on information that I could post and it would be cool for people to read. But I don't wanna sit here getting all that crap back. I don't get why people wanna spend their time on it. If you don't believe this, you can quietly sit there with your doubt, you don't have to yell out your stupid negative crap.

I don't see a problem with questioning a report that somebody spotted Axl somewhere.

Questioning is ok and I wrote that it was. Also, I don't see insults there (well, it depends of what you call insults, but I wouldn't call it that), but there's tons of negativity against a guy who's only posting a small thing (spotting Axl, come on it's not lying about the Iraq war!). And I understand it if someone comes and claims that "I met Axl yesterday and he invited me to studio and I heard all the songs. Besides I have an uncle who has a friend who works in a radio station and he has a friend who knows a guy who knows Axl, and he said that CD will be out in August" you should really question that. But this is just about a guy who saw Axl! It's no fuckin' rumour! Simple! And if you go through this thread you see that there's negativity. I don't see why people should spend their time getting this shit back when they post information. And as I said, I think the only people that suffer from this is the peopla at this forum.

Yes Axl Rose goes out of the house!, yes he has friends and family who may very well have kids and Yes he must like the odd night out with those people and would get in anywhere he wanted to.  Just because the kids were in a club it doesn't mean they were drinking or anything does it!?  They must have had a day out and just fancied a meal and a drink or whatever, as normal people do.  

Just because you don't read something on MTV doesn't mean it didn't happen lol.  But does it matter anyway?

I was being called a one-post-wonder and all that on a few boards, even tho i'd been part of the forum community over a year, and was a mod at the gnrforum.

This guy just said he saw axl, which coulda happened, coulda not, there's no interesting news/tidbits w/ it so it's not a big deal... just a sighting... so let's all try to relax and be happy we get any news at all!

Sorry, but I blame those who spread the negativity. They can choose to keep it inside them, or they can say that it doesn't seem likely. They don't have to come up with that this shit. I've read tons of crap over the years I've been around - and I have for almost as long as you -  and I still wont come here and say stuff like other people on this board. And I never saw you do that either. For me - and I think for many others - it reduce the interest in the board. It's just a suggestion, but I think the forum would be better if it had been cleaned up a bit, so it would actually be possible to come and read a thread that isn't dominated by these things. Being critical is required for GnR fans, but being negative is not. And this goes for many forums, not just this one.

The only thing that reduces my interest in this board is lack of anything new. Every day that passes without something happening is a day I am less interested.

When there is major news (ala the recent lawsuit), I love the board. Otherwise, it's really like "meh" to me.

I mean we are talking about a board that mainly supports the "new" version of GN'R.....are we not??  And what positive things have been created by this "new" version.  Not much has been created at all.........except for let-downs.....riots....cancellations.....constant lineup changes.....continued delays on the release of the album.

I used to come here because I thought GN'R was about to return and reclaim the crown atop the rock 'n' roll world.  Knock hip-hop back down a notch.  I've been here nearly 2 years now and GN'R has produced nothing but disappointments.

But I find a "positive" reason to come back.  I would have never heard of Beautiful Creatures, Silvertide, The Darkness had it not been for HTGTH because the stiffs running the music industry only want to push talentless gimmicks.

In addition, some of the board members here are very witty, entertaining and sometimes VERY bizarre.  I come here for entertainment.  A way to escape my day.

It's not unusual for Axl to be NYC. He comes here fairly frequently because his manager - Merck - is here and I believe he has friends in the area. So, I don't think anyone should read more into it than that.

But W32Axl, it might help if you mentioned the name of the club where your friend said he saw Axl if you want people to believe you.
