Title: Main Page Post by: TyRod Tulip on April 18, 2004, 09:33:43 AM Over the last 2 days or so, I have not been able to get on the main page (index2.php). It l;ets me see the header and the menu options, but it does not let me see the news, poll, current info or upcoming concert dates. It just gets hung up . Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyoneknow what I may need to do to fix it?
Thanks, -TyRod- Title: Re:Main Page Post by: Wernie on April 18, 2004, 12:51:12 PM I've got the same problem...very strange...
Title: Re:Main Page Post by: jarmo on April 18, 2004, 01:04:58 PM What browser are you using?
As far as I know, I haven't changed anything in the last few days. I changed the timezone setting but that was last weekend. /jarmo Title: Re:Main Page Post by: Wernie on April 18, 2004, 01:23:16 PM I'm using Internet Explorer 6.
My guess is that my cookies are damaged in some way. I'll delete them and try again. Title: Re:Main Page Post by: Doc Emmett Brown on April 18, 2004, 01:35:25 PM I'm using Internet Explorer 6. Me too. But I am having this problem with other sites also. It will take a long time to load, and then it says "Done, but with errors on page" at the bottom. Something screwy in Microsoft-land again, I think. Title: Re:Main Page Post by: Wernie on April 18, 2004, 01:38:24 PM Okay, I checked the cookies and they are NOT behind this.
Something else is really fucked up :/ Title: Re:Main Page Post by: jarmo on April 18, 2004, 01:56:56 PM Try different pages like
http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com/update.htm http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com/articles/index.php http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com/news/index.php http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com/links.htm Any problems with those? /jarmo Title: Re:Main Page Post by: Doc Emmett Brown on April 18, 2004, 02:02:11 PM All are fine except this one:
http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com/news/index.php The loading bar never finishes loading. I have to click the stop button. Title: Re:Main Page Post by: Wernie on April 18, 2004, 02:18:51 PM They all work for me.
The only one that doesn't work is "index2". I can see the header with the logo and the links but nothing more. Title: Re:Main Page Post by: Wernie on April 18, 2004, 02:22:57 PM This is what it looks like.

I've added a temporary index page without the stats for you to test. http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com/index3.php /jarmo Title: Re:Main Page Post by: Wernie on April 18, 2004, 03:07:29 PM OK, both the news and index page use Nedstat Basic to keep stats about the visitor. I've added a temporary index page without the stats for you to test. http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com/index3.php /jarmo Problem SOLVED! That page works fine. Didn't take any time to load. But haven't you used Nedstat all the time? Or did you recently change? Title: Re:Main Page Post by: jarmo on April 18, 2004, 03:13:57 PM It's been there for years.
But it's been like this in the past as well. Had the problem myself. Usually the problem has been "fixed" after a day or two. /jarmo Title: Re:Main Page Post by: Captain P?l on April 18, 2004, 06:50:05 PM i cant see the heretodaygonetohell logo at the main site, not that it matters too much, but is there anyway to fix it? (i take its my computer that fucks up..) :p

(i take its my computer that fucks up..) :p Since I don't want to remove the Hotlink Protection, the only way I can think of is adding the site to your "allowed" list in your firewall. I think that might be the problem. People using Norton's firewall experience problems with the pics not showing. /jarmo Title: Re:Main Page Post by: TyRod Tulip on April 18, 2004, 08:03:39 PM That index3.php works for me jarmo. But will that link contain future news updates automatically or will you have to manually update it? (i'm talking about index3).
-TyRod- Title: Re:Main Page Post by: jarmo on April 19, 2004, 02:58:04 AM It's just supposed to be a temporary solution.
But if the problem remains, maybe it has to be permanent. /jarmo |
