Title: Hard On = Can't get what you want Post by: Eva GnRAxlRosette on March 31, 2004, 01:49:11 PM I been over it before and it ALWAYS comes down to this
All the so called fans that are sooo pissed at Axl... will still not deny that Guns N' Roses NEEDS Axl to be Guns N' Roses. and they hate us because we don't feel the same way about Slash &/or Duff. Otherwise they'd be happy with Velvet Revolver and not give Axl a second thought. I sure wish they would go stalk the VR boards instead! And if anyone of you wants to enlighten me then please do... I'd love to hear what it is that you really want... and PLEASE don't tell me that you want Axl to drop dead you know you don't mean that... cuz if that happened then you could no longer entertain your re-union fantasies Title: Re:Hard On = Can't get what you want Post by: C0ma on March 31, 2004, 02:02:17 PM What has Axl and 'NuGnR' done without Slash??
I don't think for one second that VR can be Gnr without Axl (right now they are the closest thing we have to Guns N Roses), but the same goes for Axl's new band....... Look, it's not all about name recognition here.....sure Axl owns the name, and he can call anything he wants GnR but no one will follow it..........Slash's guitar tone is just as much GnR's signature as Axl's voice........and sorry to burst your bubble but Axl didn't write every song......in fact most of the ones he did write would still be in the process of 'finishing touches' if Slash didn't put unbelievable guitar tracks down over them....... Title: Re:Hard On = Can't get what you want Post by: Smoke on March 31, 2004, 02:07:58 PM It is undeniable that Axl Rose is Guns and Roses and always have been. His image portrays the GNR's image. He is the most well known and popular member of the group. Without him there is no Guns. His voice, stage presence, charisma, and that x factor that draws so many people towards him. I mean he is 42 years old, hasn't released an album in long ass time, doesn't talk very much with the public and when he does everybody goes nuts. He doesn't have to very much to get people to love him because he has that x factor that very few have. Which makes him the most important piece of the Gnr puzzle.
