Here Today... Gone To Hell!

Apparently it's not supposed to be out until next monday, but I found it on the shelf at my local music store today!
I picked it up and took it straight to the counter and at first they weren't gonna sell it to me, but they decided to let me buy it anyway!

The only disappointing thing about it, is that it comes in a jewel case rather than a digipak, but the album artwork is pretty cool. The pic of Axl/Slash on the album booklet is really cool too.

It's interesting that they list all the band member names on writing credits for most of the songs. Especially when the UYI booklets state otherwise.

I'm just listening to it now and it sounds slightly improved from my original cds, just little things with levels and volume.
I put on AFD to hear Jungle and then GH to compare, and you can notice a difference between the two, although its only slight.

i saw the GH's behind the counter at the shops, they wouldnt sell it. How illegal is it to sell before the release date.

NSW, I live in Sydney's western suburbs.

I live in Sydney's south west.. my local HMV told me they havent rec'd it yet!

Another local store who are giving me all their posters and promo gear, have rec'd the goods but arent out yet cos they haven't rec'd the promo materials to display!

I talked to the guy at my local store he said he couldnt sell it till sunday 22 march. He also said he ordered a truck load cos demand has been that high.

I live in Melbourne's eastern suburbs and i haven't seen any GH advertising or any cd's even though i've asked, maybe i'll have to take a quick plane to sydney to get it : ok:

I'm a Brisvegas Girl and I have seen absolutely jack about GH. Nothing in the music stores, nothing on the radio and nothing on the TV.

My brother and his wife live in Blacktown, I live in Greystanes. Always cool to see Aussie GN'R fans on this board!

I haven't seen any promotion either, no tv ads, nothing!
I just happened to flick through the cd rack at the music store in Merrylands and saw GH sitting amongst the other GN'R cds.
I think one of the workers must've put it there by mistake, because the girl behind the counter said it wasn't supposed to be on sale yet.

I don't understand that, they have it but they can't sell it.
Same thing happened when St. Anger came out.
They had it behind the counter on the friday but couldn't sell it until the following monday. Strange...

Ha Greystanes - know it well. My Dad used to live there.
When I lived in Blacktown I lived just off Richmond Rd near the Vet. The street was called Kent St.

Hmm maybe I should try my luck and see if any of the local music shops have accidently put it out in Brisbane. Dont like my chances though!  ::)

It's not like it's anything new really, so a couple of more days to wait for it to come out isn't too bad I suppose.

Dont get me started about those gigs! I had the opportunity to see them at Eastern Creek (for memory) and I didnt bloody go! I could strangle myself. Who knew it would probably be the last time they ever came to Australia.

They came to Brisbane once as well (before 1993) and for memory they were banned from ever returning again. Something about causing a riot. Hmmm that sounds familiar. :D

Since then Duff was supposed to tour in 1994, but it got cancelled due to an ear infection and he couldn't fly over.

And Slash was supposed to come out with Snakepit in 2000 or 2001, but that got cancelled due to conflicts with the promoter.

And Axl's new GN'R were rumoured for a NYE gig a few years ago in Melbourne.

So I'm still waiting...

i live in the sydney area, a local music store had it playing in the store said it came out today. 19th.

and the funny thing is the vines album comes out on monday......but they had the cd's..........my friend asked if he could buy it and the guy said yeah. Its a bit illegal but thats Australia for you.

Maybe they have CD there and they'll give it away before the release date. Damn i should have asked :rofl:

Im putting together a GNR Fansite for Australia & NZ fans, with most probably a section for the rest of the oceania/pacific region. Its our site, not my site, with Australians hopefully contributing and all joining together to build it and promote GNR to fans here.

Of course, full credit will be given to any resources on the site that people help out with. I need any revies, stories, your experiences, articles, facts, pics etc. related to GNRs past shows in Australia and New Zealand. Anything!

The objective is to help bring GNR fans downunder back into the scene of things (the 'new GNR'), provide info on Australian releases, GNr get togrther/night out, meets for any dates, and even a Aussie GNR Travel Club for going to see any upcoming GNR shows around Australia and NZ and overseas

Also need info on what I can contribute on the site as part of the Rest Of The World STREET TEAM effort.

Please help me to put together our site! The site will be fairly basic in terms of technical design but as my skills and the hits grow, as will the site!

Just saw the ad on tv today in the USA. It was cool to see the clips and GnR on TV. But I still ain't gonna buy it.

when warner bros released one of these unoffical greatest hits by prince, prince came on his website and urged everyone that it was not authorized by himself and for all fams *we arent fans cause fan is short for fanatic so hecalls us fams which is short for family* but he told us to not buy it, he said please dont buy it and dont support the record companies greed etc

he asked we didnt buy it, however axl hasnt said shit, hasnt asked the fans to do anything so fuck it!

Im from VIC and ive asked my music store what its out and they said..weve ordered it but we dont know the release date so we cant tell you when its coming out?? Is it out on the MON 22nd in aust??

I saw it for sale in HMV Parramatta today. There was about 10 on the shelf in the GN'R section, but there were no instore posters or anything promoting the fact that it was for sale.

It's still cool to see a product on the shelf that says Guns N' Roses 2004 on it :beer:

There's a booklet, but it only has 2 pages and just lists the songwriting credits (with all the band members????) and albums released by GN'R. Nothing we haven't seen before.

Does it have the 'real' names like Saul Hudson or is it done properly, and has Slash, Izzy etc?

I went to Parramatta HMV.. it sucks how its not in a digipak.. so im gonna wait and try get my hands on one.. it was cool to see the new GNR stuff on display.. no promotional stuff instore at all tho.

Has anyone heard anything about a free GNR mug with the GH here in Australia?
