Title: question about kohd
Post by: Axl4Prez2004 on March 06, 2004, 04:40:36 PM
Sorry to bother you guys and gals with this, but I had a quick question.  I remember hearing a version of kohd on the radio with talking interspersed with the music.  If memory serves me correctly, something like, "...I wasn't even supposed to know,"  "all things can be healed in time, " etc.  Where is this from?  A nice hot-cooked meal if you're ever in Delaware, USA, for the first person who answers.  :)

I know thats the original version that was on the Days of Thunder Soundtrack.  I always thought that it was made up or adlib by axl ... Seems like hes explaining the guns side of the song or something.  Since it went something like  "Mamma put my guns in the ground"  he answers with "it wasnt thier fault"   and "how were they even supposed to know" ...... If it came from anywhere i suppose only axl would know.

Actually, that HEAVENS DOOR version with all extra quotes over it was played on the radio when dale earnheart died.   I was in North Carolina a the time and everyone was losing their mind.  Like Jesus died or something.  The radio kept playing this version of KOHD with all these quotes from dale earnheart or people talking about him.

Do i have to actually go there to get my free dinner?  Can't you just order a pizza to my house long-distance?

Actually, no.  You are wrong.  The version he is talking about (with those exact quotes) is Guns N' Roses version from the Days of Thunder soundtrack as Kockstar said.  I have it.
