Title: Velvet Revolver video shoot postponed Post by: jarmo on March 06, 2004, 10:24:53 AM Velvet Revolver were all set to shoot their first video, "Slither," on Sunday in Los Angeles with Kevin Kerslake slated to direct. But during Scott Weiland's probation progress report hearing on Friday (March 5), a Pasadena judge denied the singer's request to join his bandmates for the shoot, which has since been postponed. Weiland is due back in court March 23 for another progress report. He's also due back in court March 15 to face charges of driving under the influence of drugs.

Title: Re:Velvet Revolver video shoot postponed Post by: Doc Emmett Brown on March 06, 2004, 12:30:40 PM At least there is evidence that VR is gonna make a video (unlike GNR's 3 magical mystical videos and albums). The evidence comes from MTV, not Aura/Darth Bowie.
I dont care too much about videos, I just want to hear the singles on the radio. Title: Re:Velvet Revolver video shoot postponed Post by: Booker Floyd on March 06, 2004, 01:05:35 PM  Sucks it was postponed, but Im definitely glad to hear theyre at least ready to get the video going.
Hope it works out. Kerslake is a longtime Weiland/STP/Nirvana director..For anyone interested, heres his videography... Sonic Youth huh? Cant get any grungier than that! I was introduced to this band from the Nirvana albums. The only Sonic Youth album I have is Daydream Nation - it's really good. So are Scott's 'alternative' roots are going to be more prominent in VR than its rock n roll roots? Are we going to see a true marriage of the two? Or just the dominance of the cooler one? Title: Re:Velvet Revolver video shoot postponed Post by: jarmo on March 09, 2004, 07:43:50 AM VELVET REVOLVER To Film 'Slither' Video In Early April
Plans are moving forward for VELVET REVOLVER to film a video for "Slither", the upcoming first single from the group's debut album, "Contraband", in early April. Director Kevin Kerslake is shooting interior and exterior scenes in Los Angeles and Europe (including catacombs footage in France), while the band will film their performance in early April after bassist Duff McKagan and guitarist Slash return from an overseas promotion tour for the album, due on May 18 through RCA Records. VELVET REVOLVER singer Scott Weiland (ex-STONE TEMPLE PILOTS) is due back in court March 23 for another probation progress report hearing. He's also due back in court March 15 to face charges of driving under the influence of drugs. Duff & Slash are doing all the heavylifting - interviews, photo shoots, jet-setting. It'll be good once Scott can join them, since he is the frontman after all. The video promises to be interesting : ok: I just might buy a TV - the things I will do for this band.
