It would be cool if someone take the old AFD cover art and change the old members on it with the new members...I would like to see Buckethead, Finck and co ont the cross...Maybe GNR will do it if the re-release AFD with the new members, it would be pretty awesome...

We have a 'dead horse' section for this stuff...

No that would be crap. As Izzy said AFD aint the new guys at all. They did the new AFD cross on the old Gn'R pinball game with Matt, Gilby and Dizzy - that was just the same - if it aint the original 5 it aint AFD.

I dont post alot but i have to say something about this.  If they were to do that with the new members on the cover of afd, i dont think i would ever listen to anything that the new band ever made for the rest of my life.  That would be like someone in the nhl trying to wear number 99, unless your name is wayne gretsky u just dont do it.

just a little thought here.... AFD cross = 5 guys, one on each "end" and one in the middle, now, the new band has 7/8 members.... how fit that on one cross?

I like the idea. I think there is room for 2 versions of AFD, the orignal and a new version. The original AFD was recorded an age ago, and the sound quality isn`t as good as what they can do today (interms of recording standards). As for the cover art work, i have this vision of the original art work with new skulls of the new members and opposed to black,  the backgound colour could be red. Maybe it could be all done OTT alittle like the Slash`s Snakepit cover artwork  :)

You are a bad man.  There is only room for one AFD.  You can't reproduce magic like the original AFD.  I hope that there won't be a new version.  I would probably :crying: :crying:

AFD was made by 5 young dudes who were piss-poor, living on the streets, living on the edge.  "They went through hell to get their songs".  That's what made AFD so raw and powerful.

Now you want 1 really rich guy who lives in a Malibu mansion with 6/7 other guys to re-make lightning in a bottle?

i dont think this new band should re-record appetite for destruction, but if someone has a photoshop program, it'd be cool if they enlarged the AFD album cover and took out the skulls, and cropped the new members faces in it instead. it wont look like the original but it'd still be cool for someone to post that here. i think it'e ve even better if something that were professionaly done. like think of a Buckethead skull withn a FFC bucket, or any of the skulls for that matter :)

I think that it would be even cooler to remaster the original to the best sound possible, put the original rape cover back on it, and re-release it that way.  I think that would be pretty bad ass.  And also add a lot of shock value to it.  I wonder if it would be easier to get away with having that cover today, compared to 1987?  I would hate to see the new band on the cover of AFD, considering they had zero part in it. :smoking:

they can always play with the new CD cover art, that's fine....but don't mess with the old Appetite cover art, these guys don't have anything to do with the Appetite.

If AFD II does happen and a new cross with new band members does happen, dose that mean Axl will have to have his other arm tattoo with the new cross ;)

But.. you need to annotate who's who cuz this band isnt as well-known as old GNR.

With the exception of Axl (red hair) and Buckethead (duh), I cant tell who's who.

First of all, it's Gretzky. Secondly the NHL has retired 99, no one can wear it again. Thirdly, people wore it in the NHL, before Gretzky.
