Title: I've had a interesting thought...
Post by: Sephiroth Yuppie on February 18, 2004, 08:05:53 AM
After listening to Crash Diet several times I've come to the conclusion that it would be cool (though I know it will NEVEr happen) if the new GNR wre to do a remake of it.
Because this isnt your typical GNR song, its much heavyer sounding, and the solo is less finesse and more just raw agression.(perfect for Buckethead)

The only problem I see is the main chords a little 80's ish.
But I think that could be overcome.

Just a thought.

If u want a half decent version of the song go d/l Asphalt Ballet - Crash Diet (they co wrote the song and it appears on their second album)

I think the song has a lot of potential.  But you can tell they never really completed it.  It' more like a blueprint than a finished product.

... Axl probably has some brilliant version hidden in his closet, which will be released on the "2100 intentions" album.  :hihi:

I don't think its worthy of a remake, the Anti-drink driving lyrics are pretty lame.

Would a remake of this, or just a polished up version of the one we've heard make you buy the supposedly upcoming GH album?

Nope. Not even if it was by the new band. Unless they really changed it up.

It would for me. Anything new on the GH means a buy for me

The solo would be perfect for Buckethead?  Too bad he's not in the picture anymore.
