Maybe he was reffering to the  Summer in Rio 4. I don't know if on 2001 the promoters already knew that Rio4 will be on 2004.
Maybe it was the masterplan of Axl and he alredy knew the CD will be out on 2004.

I think Axl was talking about that year summer, he wanted to release CD on 2001 but something was't fine, maybe he's too perfectionist... but there's no master plan, stop sayin that.

i think people are ready far to much into this "perfectionist" persona of axls. personally i think its legal errors and unpayed royalties concerning the old band and his use of the name that is still holding axl back from dropping CD. yes slash and duff signed their rights years ago, but an average courtcase can drag on for years at a time. perhaps the old lineup is jealous of axl and the new band because they know all to well the sort of material he is capable of and was planning post-spaghetti incident. :peace:

What courtcase? We would know if there was a courtcase.

There are no legal issues IMO. We would have had some info on the matter.

any court case has to have a specific court action w/in 6 months of the last or the case can be dismissed.  In the last decade, 20 court appearences would have resolved all old bickering.

Who knows what's going on man??? None of us here do. I think that this is not the way Axl would have liked things to be though. Just my opinion because I think that Axl is probably very anxious to get some new stuff released. Oh well. Time will tell.

Yeah, it's part of Axl's "master plan" to come out with the CD before Rio 10.  Please.  I agree - there IS NO master plan. As discussed billions of times before on this board, there were plenty of times in the past couple of years that the release would have come at a perfect time.

 Axl doesn't update his fans on anything.  That's NOT a good plan.  If he doesn't care, why should we?  I'm sick of hearing shit through promoters and lawyers, and not the man himself.  He just doesn't CARE.

wether you like it or not something was supposed to happen and it just craped out.. Buckethead could have delayed something? Who knows all we know is axl was saying he was bringing something to the table but never did and he is still missing
