"I seen and met Dizzy in the Corner Pocket in Connecticut yesterday. First of
all he did an awesome show he played some GnR songs like Its so Easy and did
covers of the stones and Bob Dylan. Awesome band with him called Hookers and
Blow.

Anyway for the GNR STUFF:
He last met Axl 3 weeks ago
Band is still on schedule to do rock in Rio he hopes
They have a replacement for buckethead since he left a year ago but he has
no clue what is going on with that.
They start rehearsing next month.
The promoter fucked them up in the last tour that's why they got canceled.
Album is done waiting on Axl to give ok since buckethead left.
Rock in Rio 4 is still on and he hopes they do it."

And who is the replacement? And about the Buckethead's tracks on CD? Axl will re-record it with this new guitar player?

sounds about right  Wink I see them doing rio as a fresh start... a chance to do what they should have done last time. Hopefully they'll  release CD and have a successful tour this time. Basically, I hope Axl learned from him mistakes.

What does that mean, "The promoter fucked them"
Did CC want to take some money back because the tour was costing them money instead of making money?
And Axl said Fuck You?

Buckethead's parts should be left on the album, and then they can give him a 'guest' credit rather than full member now he's out.

If this is true (which it very well might not be) it is nice to know he has no clue as to Buckethead's replacement.  Axl must not think very much f him to leave him in the dark.

I saw this rumor on a couple of other boards as well.  Another guitarist?  WTF AXL??  I hope everything is true except that part.  I thought GN'R were rehearsing or supposed to be a couple of months back?  With all these solo tours it looks like GN'R is going no where anytime soon.  I guess Axl wants to sit on his ass and do nothing with his genious new material.  Such a shame.

I really doubt Dizzy said that.  He wouldn't go saying this kind of shit to random people.

huh? i really miss buckethead. he was so perfect for this outfit; I was honored he was part of it, gave us legitimacy.

another guitarist? well, honestly i won't be impressed unless zakk or brian may pop onstage but i doubt very much that will happen. Hopefully it's not Gary Sunshine or Paul Tobias. I wonder why Dizzy, if this is real, doesn't have anymore info.

Why is Dizzys name ALWAYS the source of rumors... coz he is still out touring?

I really dont think he said these things knowing they will be all over the internet in hours...

i dont think he has that big of a mouth....

I agree.  Leave Bucketheads stuff on CD, lots of bands have a session musician to help out in the studio.

I don`t think they need to replace BH. 2guitarists such as Fortus and Finck are stellar in their own right.

 Huh

There is no way Dizzy is not aware of who is Bucket's replacement (in case all that story is true of course)...I mean, come on, it's his own band! He's been there for like 14 years, don't you think he knows who's in it and who's not? I don't know if that person really met Dizzy but there's no way he doesn't know "what's going on" about the guitarist slot in GN'R.

The reason Dizzy's name comes up is because he is willing to talk. He was quite open about the album coming out in Feb 03 when I talked to him in October 02. He's a really nice guy.
